EMSlim : non-invasive body contouring

EMSlim is a state-of-the-art technology that uses High Electromagnetic Intensity to stimulate motor nerves and induce deep and maximal muscle contraction. Unlike electro-stimulation which works on the surface, EMSlim penetrates up to 8 cm deep to mobilise deep muscles and fat. Thanks to different frequencies, the machine can generate between 30,000 and 50,000 contractions in half an hour on the treated area, which is exceptional. At the muscle level, EMSLIM provides intense, targeted electromagnetic stimulation that exposes the muscles to extreme conditions, reaching up to 50,000 contractions in 30 minutes. These conditions are impossible to achieve with voluntary contractions. In addition, the depth of penetration of the electromagnetic field makes it possible to work even muscles that are not often used. These extreme conditions lead to very effective changes in the internal muscle structure by promoting volumetric growth of muscle fibres (muscle hypertrophy) and an increase in muscle mass and density of muscle fibres (muscle hyperplasia).

At the fatty level, the powerful and localised muscle contractions cause intense cellular activity, leading to lipolysis localised to the treated area. The significant release of free fatty acids and their accumulation in the treated area leads to dysfunction of the adipocytes until their apoptosis (cell death). HOW DOES EMSLIM TREATMENT WORK?

The EMSLIM treatment consists of 8 sessions spaced 2 to 3 days apart (2 sessions per week), renewable as needed. During each 30-minute session, you lie on your back for the belly treatment or on your stomach for the buttocks. The applicators are placed on the target area with a stabilising strap. The power is adjusted according to the area and how you feel, starting with low powers and gradually increasing to the maximum tolerated power. During the session, you will experience approximately 30,000 targeted muscle contractions.

The sessions are not painful, although they may be uncomfortable for some patients. It is important not to contract the muscles yourself, but to let yourself be guided by the electromagnetic field, which generally takes one to two minutes to adapt. After the session, there are no particular after-effects or social eviction, you can resume your normal activities. Results can be seen as early as the third session and continue to progress over the weeks following the end of the 4 sessions. However, it is important to note that the treatment is not definitive and that regular physical activity and a balanced diet are necessary to maintain the results obtained. It is also possible that another series of 4 sessions may be necessary to achieve the set objectives, especially in non-athletic patients.

Depending on the individual patient, a maintenance session every 4 to 6 months may be required to maintain results. Results are not permanent, but EMSLIM treatment can be an effective method of toning muscles and reducing fat in targeted areas.

What are the results?

The results may vary from patient to patient depending on their lifestyle, eating habits, physical constitution, etc.. In general, it is possible to expect a 20% loss of fat mass in the target area and a 15-20% gain in muscle volume after 4 sessions.

  • For the treatment and training of the abdominal muscles, the parameters of the machine are set to have a lipolytic effect and a strong muscular effect.
  • For the treatment of cellulite, the mobilisation of deep fat is favoured in order to obtain a greater destruction effect of fatty deposits while having a sheathing and smoothing effect against orange peel skin.
  • To work on the buttocks and to shape the buttocks, we rather keep the fat that rounds and work primarily at the muscular level.
